Personal interests
Summary
These pages are here in the unlikely event that anybody is interested in more information about me, Mark Morgan. I maintain these pages.Christianity
Christianity has always been a vital part of my life and most of my interests revolve around this in one way or another. Here are a few related resources.Practical Christianity Notes
Recently I have worked on a series of 1 to 1½ hour sessions for small groups on "Practical Christianity", run at the Dandenong Bible Education Centre. This course has a set of notes which is available in a low resolution here.Bible Software
In general, I prefer to read the Bible from a good, old-fashioned, paper Bible, but software can also make it very easy to find things in the Bible. If you are looking for Bible software, why not try BPBible? It is good software already and keeps getting better. There is also a portable version for USB disks available from PortableApps.com/BPBiblePortable.Other software
Over the years I have developed software in Fortran, Basic, C, C++, VB.Net and C# with dabblings in Perl and Python and other scripting languages. My languages of choice are currently C and VB.Net although Python is moving up the list.
Technical Software
While developing WaterSums software, I look at a lot of freely available software for ideas and algorithms. Recently I was looking at contours and triangulation and found some work on Delaunay triangulation by Paul Bourke with an algorithm. A C# version from Christian Stelzl was available, but I wanted it in VB, so I ported it. It is available for anyone to use in any way, as long as the acknowledgement of Paul Bourke's work remains intact. Download VB Project for VS2005 (51kB).
