Map View Control

The Map View is a very important part of WaterSums. A map tab is provided for each network in a WaterSums project and these are displayed in tabs next to the Project tree. As well as the toolbar buttons, there keyboard/mouse shortcuts provided by the Adobe SVG Viewer used by WaterSums. Here is a quick list...
- Hold down the Alt key and the cursor will change into a hand. Clicking and holding the left mouse button allows the map to panned by dragging. Releasing the mouse button stops the dragging.
- Hold down the Ctrl key and the cursor becomes a magnifying glass with a + sign. A single click with the left mouse button will zoom in (scaled by 2.0) with the new view centred about the click location. Clicking and holding down the left mouse button allows an area to be swept out which defines the new view to be displayed.
- Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys and the cursor becomes a magnifying glass with a - sign. A single click with the left mouse button will zoom out with the new view centred about the click location (scaled by 0.5).
This information is all included in the latest online help files provided with WaterSums. Feel free to try the context menu as well.
