WaterSums Release 1.0.9 - Deletion and a new toolbar
Submitted by admin on 11 July 2008 - 9:10am.
Almost 3 weeks have passed since the last WaterSums release and the time has not been wasted. Extended deletion support has been added and a new toolbar for adding, editing and deleting network objects as well.
When you delete an object in WaterSums, the network is analysed to find all other network objects that refer to the object being deleted. If other objects must be deleted or modified to maintain network integrity, they are listed in a panel and the user is prompted to confirm the operation. So, for example, deleting a node with connected pipes will prompt you with a list of the connected pipes to confirm that this is what you want. If you continue, the node and the connected pipes will all be deleted. Deleting a pattern will list all the network objects that use the pattern and the property that refers to it. If you proceed with the deletion, the properties of the related objects will be set to null. Of course, the undo option is still available if you accidentally delete something you wanted!
Other new functionality:
The release is planned for today and the Release Notes will describe all the new functionality and bugs fixed.
