WaterSums 1.1 Beta 2 Released

After a very busy week, the second Beta of WaterSums 1.1 has been released today. The new release includes some new functionality and quite a few bug fixes. Thanks to all who gave feedback on the first Beta and that submitted log files - they all help a lot with reviewing use of the program and designing improvements.

Due to some changes made in the Beta, WaterSums now requires .Net 2.0 Service Pack 1 or an error will be displayed when performing the analysis.

The new features are detailed in the main Beta page here, but a few are worth noting in particular:

  • The simulation clock now displays the actual time in the simulation based on the start time and time step rather than just the time step number.
  • Help has been expanded and the Project tree now displays context sensitive help when F1 is pressed
  • WaterSums now uses the latest EPANET 2.0.12 analysis engine
  • Flow animation arrows are scaled in the same way as link selection arrows. The next step will be to provide a facility to remove the arrows: they are already removed when objects are deleted, but will also be removed when editing occurs and by pressing a toolbar button or selecting a menu option.

Please download this version and keep providing feedback. The final version is expected to be released next Friday.
